V2 does seem to be slightly slower, but I am using a different TCP/IP protocol stack with V2 than I was with V1. I was using PC/TCP by FTP Inc. with V1 and now I am using Windows 3.11 32-bit TCP/IP. Therefore, it could just be the Windows stack is slower.

We don't have any client accessing over a WAN. As for performance the only noticable performance hit is during the connection. Connections take about 10-20 secs in Windows 3.1.
