help -INSTALLED PO7/WIN3.1 CAN'T ACCESS ANYTHING

I installed PO7/win I got the error about that the starter db creation failed
because lack of memory. I followed some directions to created this db using
the Database Manager ran the script install2.sql. The messages It
displayed said started oracle, connected oracle, created some tables, then
disconnected from oracle, stopped oracle, then gave a successful completion
message.
No matter which icon i use to try to get into oracle I get the following
ora-01034 oracle not available
ora-09234 smsget error attaching to SGA
osd-01104 unable to attach to SGA: sga does not exist
Anybody have any suggestions.
