Hello, I just heard that you are not able to search anything from
LONG-type fields
with normal SQL. Well, after reading oracle documents I found out that I
should
use extended SQL which provides CONTAIN and other sql extensions so that
I could
search from LONG fields. I use SQLPLUS in one oraperl script and the
SQLPLUS
returns the values i need. Now, i need to know is how to start using
that Extended
SQL or can i even use it from command line like SQLPLUS? Or can I
somehow use
Extended SQL features from SQLPLUS?
Ps. what is the difference between textserver and textretrieval in oracle? :)
Thank you very much for your assistance.
