oracle installation on Sun

I'm trying to install oracle on a sun sparc, Solaris 2.3

I got the following error message :

	Error in action 'RANLIB Libraries'. Command
	was 'cd <path>/oracle/lib;ranlib
	<path>/oracle/lib/lib*.a'. Return code=1.

I have no clue what that is. Any suggestions ??.
