We have had the opportunity to install, program to, and run the Oracle RDBMS and applications on Digital Alpha platforms under both OpenVMS and Digital UNIX. It is true that the latest versions of Oracle seem to be available on UNIX first and VMS later. On the other hand, we have found the VMS port to be generally more stable with better technical support (i.e. faster response and more knowledgeable technicians).
