What it means is that if you are installing a system to connect to
already-established listeners, you must look at their listener.ora
and sqlnet.ora files (which you have to generate out of Network Manager
for the new node as well) to find out what ports they are already
listening on, and therefore what ports you have to define in
/etc/services.
