There are many good books available. Some of them have been mentioned in this newgroup's postings.

I wrote "Developing Personal Oracle7 Applications" (SAMS 1995, ISBN 0-672-30757-X) for readers who want to learn SQL and its use in the Oracle environment. It can also be used by those who are already familiar with SQL but want to learn PL/SQL. The book also covers the use of Oracle tools, such as SQL*Plus, SQL*Loader, and the Database Administration tools.

The book includes the Oracle Workgroup/2000 CD, as well as a trial version of ERwin, an entity-relationship data modeling tool.
