In article <30FA8310.1069_at_us.oracle.com>, "Robert C. Nix" <rnix_at_us.oracle.com> threw this at us:

Forgive me for interupting, but the BASIC part of Visual Basic is not there anymore (note the difference between BASIC and Basic). BTW: I find this statement _very_ biased, as you said in your post.
>The key word there is BEGINNERS! I don't think anyone should EVER use BASIC.
The key word is intelligence. And you lack it. (See other posting on the topic VB vs. C).
>It teaches too many bad programming methods. BASIC sucks (it was developed
>for morons)
"developed for morons". Hardly the statement you expect to hear from an intelligent man.
>. At least Pascal is a REAL language. As easy to learn as BASIC
>and much more powerful!
I agree. BASIC is not much of a language. I'd wish you wouldn't mix BASIC and Visual Basic, however.
>Delphi Rules!! VB's for fools!
Oh yes. This really blows me away! What an argument!
