EndUser, are you saying that Solaris X86 is not cost effective? The fact that I have built up a lot of confidence in running oracle on Sparc Solaris with a peak 200 concurrent users, I think that their X86 version deserves a look. I have little or no experience with Oracle on NT as of yet! Our shop has a lot of experience running Oracle on Unix and that is a mojor factor.
Why would you not consider Solaris X86?
