error installing SCO wgs: LEXICAL_ERROR/dbup -- help?

I've successfully installed the SCO WGS (Oracle 7) server under Linux - SQL*DBA is working, the database initialised etc.

I'm trying to install SQL*PLUS, using $ORACLE_HOME/orainst/orainst
(rather than orainst in the staging directory, but using the unix.prd in
/cdrom/sco/server).

When I select SQL*PLUS and "Install", it verifies that ocommon is present, but balks when it tries to verify dbup (which isn't installed).

The error I get is

          ||  dbup.map(1): LEXICAL_ERROR while mapping dbup. (No
          ||  such file or directory.)

I can't unfortunately find out what file it's talking about (dbup.map is in /cdrom/sco/server/dbup/install, which presumably it should find. I copied that install dir to $ORACLE_HOME/dbup/install too, but to no avail.)

Any help would be much appreciated :)

(And again, if anyone has oraperl for SCO, that'd be great too.)

thanks,
