SQL*NET Problem ( SQL*NET V2.0):

hello joseph, please consult your SQL*Net Installations guide: On the server side you need two things:
- one listener processes ( under Unix you can start the listener process via
"lsnrctl" on VMS I dont know)
- one listener configuration file: "listener.ora"

On the client side you need two configuration files: - "oracle.ini" in \windows\
-" tnsnames.ora" in \oracle7\network\admin

You also need to install the SQL*NET V2.xx Software on the server side and on

the client side. In Addition you need to install the "Oracle protocol adapters" for the protocol you
are using (DECNET??) and the protocol drivers.
