We've also been using Oracle on our Mainframe ( MVS/ESA) since around 86. We have had it from Version 5 through to the current V7. Currently we are running with Version 6.0.36, 7.0.16 and 7.1.4. We also use Pro*PL1. The V6 stuff even uses Forms 3.0 on 3270's. We are generally happy with performance. We also use SQL*Net which allows the Mainframe to be a rather stable player in the client/server world. (
