Could someone explain or point me in the right direction... I'm looking for details on how security works in the SQL*Plus logon. Where is it stored, when/how is it setup, etc. I'm working off a 90-day evaluation copy downloaded off the WEB and can't seem to get it working (I've tried the Scott-Tiger combo with no luck).

If this is too complicated, any suggestions on good reading material would also be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

You know you have achieved perfection in design, not when you have nothing more to add, but what you have nothing more to take away.
