Ok here's the deal.
A while back my database became corrupted. I decided to just junk everything and go to a back p. No problem, I blew away the directory and restored it from tape. This is Oracle7 running on Solaris 2.3 and I connect with SqlNet 1.2. I can start the database, connect to it from the console, and I can start orasrv. Everything seems to be ok but when I try to connect through sqlnet I get "ORA-01034 Oracle not available". I ran checkTCP and it seems ok. I have my oratab file defined correctly. I have orasrv with the correct owner and rights. This all use to work, back before I lost the database. But now I can't get to it from the outside.
Any ideas on what else I could check or what I'm missing?
thanks,
