Please Help Me!!! Oracle Post Installation Problem on Solaris 2.3

I am installing Oracle 7.1.4 on a SUN Sparc5 workstation,
with Solaris 2.3 operating system.
During the post-installation procedures, while running
the root.sh script as a super user, I am getting an error.
The error is as follows:
"Please raise the ORACLE owner's ulimit as per the IUG"
I have looked into the manuals available, and it suggests the use of "osh" executable to raise the ulimit of the current login session. I have looked for the "osh" executable and couldn't find it in ORACLE_HOME/bin. I have gone through the "root.sh" script and found a comment: "osh is not shipped for Oracle for Solaris 2.x (SunOS5)".
Can somebody let me know how to increase the ORACLE owner's ulimit on my machine?
Your help will be greatly appreciated.
Sincerely,
Kittu Nalamotu
