We're using it in a distributed database environment. The master database is on Unix (Oracle 7.1.6). The snapshot databases are on Netware 3.12 (Oracle 7.1.4). No major problems to report.

If you use SQL*NET v2, make sure to get at least version 2.1.4 of the SQL*NET Listener though and make sure all of your Netware patches are up to date. Otherwise the v2.1 listener will be unstable. It'll crash every 24 to 48 hours for apparent reason.

One other minor glitch, in Oracle for Netware 7.1.4 at least, is that sometimes it doesn't release temporary tablespace. We don't know exactly what causes the problem, but restarting the database always seems to clear it up.
