Re: Restricting the capability of ODBC users

In regards to your solution for restricting access by creating two roles. I was wondering what additional security does the application usercode need, i.e capability to switch roles, and would they be able to switch roles outside of the application, i.e using sql*plus.

I must admit I like you answer, I did not know that a person could have multiple roles per usercode. Also how does one setup one role as the default?
