Views can be used as pre-defined joins, and they're available straight out of the Oracle box. Stored procedures in V7 can do LOTS of stuff. The ability to use pre-defined joins isn't a good reason to buy a thirdparty tool.

Now that IS a good reason to consider Impromptu, or Esperant, or etc.
