It's been a while but I used to work as a system administrator in a shop where we supported multiple instances of Oracle (PROD, TEST, and DBA) on the same unix server. Does anyone know of a current whitepaper or current documentation on the subject?
We used a shell alias to dot in a script setting several environmental variables. I remember several files like initSID.ora that we created and I remember using the ipcs and ipcrm unix commands on occasion to look at the shared memory. I don't recall all the gory details and I don't have current manuals handy. Received on Mon Oct 09 1995 - 00:00:00 CET
