Sure would get my attention. Can't say as I'm please to pay 400 percent premiums to run Unix based Oracle on Sun hardware. Have VERY seriously considered running Solaris X86 though. Linux would be an instant switch!

Oracle seems to be thinking a little more progressively these days. And the comment previously in this thread about the first major RDBMS company that ports to Linux making a killing is obvious to any serious developer.
