Oracle7 ODBC problems

We are using PowerBuilder (Desktop) Team/ODBC 4.0 and Oracle7 ODBC (V1.11.0.2) driver to connect via Oracle SQL*Net 1.1 to Oracle 7 RDMS on Unisys Unix.

On a workstation running MS WFWG 3.11 TCP/IP, the Preview of a large table (120 000 records) freezes after 4400 records.

On a workstation running Novell LWP 4.2 TCP/IP, the Preview of a large table (120 000 records) yields a "Nettcp"-error after 275 records.

The Workstations are Compaq 486DX100 with 16 MB RAM.

The combination of Lotus Approach 3.01 and the Oracle7 ODBC driver yields a GPF-error.

Does the Oracle7 ODBC driver work? I have not seen a later version available. Our tests have shown ODBC connection to be much slower than "Direct connection". Received on Mon Sep 25 1995 - 00:00:00 CET
