Hi all, wonder if anyone has seen this recovery problem.
CPU crash while Oracle up. No user activity anywhere near crash. No archivelogging. Checkpoint process configured.
On restart, note in log that 1 thread is being recovered. dblogwriter spins forever, recovery never completes.
In attempt to try to get it up any way at all, desperate dba removes config of checkpoint process from init.ora. Magic, system comes up!
Confusion reigns.
