I am a new DBA who has inherited a client/server application that is having a problem when my users is trying to produce a report.

I have posted this question to this group before and got no response. I am at my wits end in trying to figure this out. I don't know if this error is refering to a time-out problem (Does Oracle Disconnect itself in a Client/Server Application if work being done on the Client Side is taking too long?) or what could be a space problem(rollback to small, datatable to small, Any suggestions on where to look?).

I am running a Client/Server Application with Paradox 4.5 as the Front end and Oracle 7 as the backend. One of my users is having a problem retrieving data for a report. The data is in the table, but the report comes back, with nothing to report. Oracle flashes a space exceeded error and then gives me the ORA-568 error message. The Oracle 7 Server Messages and Codes Manual says the following:

ORA-00568 maximum number of interrupt handlers exceeded CAUSE: The number of registered interrupt handling routines for when the break key is entered exceeds the maximum allowed. ACTION: Reduce the number of registered interrupt handlers.

I am a bit confused. No one has pressed the break key. I don't remember even setting this parameter or where you would find it to set it. Any assistance that could be given would be greatly appreciated. You can respond in group, or e-mail me directly.

Thanks for your help. Received on Sun Aug 27 1995 - 00:00:00 CEST
