Login/password for Pro*C

     
     Our Pro*C code reads a flat file for login/password. We have over 
     25 Pro*c programs all looking at same flat file.
     
     We dont like the idea of having a flat file with our (precious)
     login/passwords in it.
     
     
     What is the solution for this problem? Is there some kind of
     encrypting/decrypting software that will prevent normal users
     from reading the flat file.
     
     Is there some technique by which we can log onto Oracle w/o 
     putting our login/passwords in flatfile?
