I believe most of these files are intended to be used with Oracle's sqlnet
administration tool. I tried using that once but got frustrated and
ended up coding the tnsnames.ora and listener.ora files by hand. If
you have a simple network topology and are using a single network
protocol, this is pretty straightforward (I can send you some generic
files that you can use). If your network is more complicated, then
you'll need to either modify those files for your specific
needs or give tech support a yell
