Database Queries (gurus - Help needed)

Could someone help me with a sql database query?

To present a simplified version of the problem, I want to be able to do a query to delete the first 2 characters of a field.

Example:

Name

then after the query, the result would be:

Name:
---

seph
grid
se

Any help would be appreciated! (I don't want to do this manually by hand.. :) )
