Linking Pro*C programs

I have a question:

When I linked sample1.pc in ORACLE_HOME/proc/demo there were some libs (eg: -lsqlnet -lora -lsqlnet -lora) used twice. Does anyone know the reason and why it fails when I remove duplicated libs.
