: The Designer 2000 (a.k.a. CASE 6) will only be available for MS Windows. The
: Designer (CASE) product will remain a "Windows only" product for the foreseeable
: future. Personally, I'm not too happy about the prospect of having to have a
: PC on my desk just to use CASE, since everything else I use runs on my HP
: 9000/715. So far I've had no response to my queries about Designer 2000
: running on Windows-NT. If Oracle will support it on NT, I won't be quite as
: upset. But if you want to run Designer 2000, you'd better go get yourself a PC
: with a bunch of memory because Oracle isn't going to port it to any other
: system.

Hear, hear! I'm sure many others are in similar circumstances. We also use HP-UX on 9000's and I am not planning to move to the new CASE until it appears on Motif. I was told that market research showed that most customers wanted the product on Windows, which was a surprise to me. Are there really that many people doing development from PCs??
