I assume that your on an unix port: After you've mounted the cd, have you
execute the start.sh script on the cd (perhaps its named somthing else)?
This creates links to your cd filesystem, because, the most unix-ports
have trouble with the filenames on the iso-filesystem on the cd.
After that you can execute orainst.
