Re: orasrv hangs once in a while

I have seen the same problem on Sun, DG/UX, and VAX/VMS.

We minimized the problem on VAX/VMS by switching from Wollongong to UCX.

We still saw the problem on UCX. We reduced the frequency by increasing UCX buffer sizes.

Also, there's an option to tcpctl on VAX/VMS to allows the restart of orasrv without killing current connections.

        tcpctl jumpstart

I didn't find anything to help on Sun or DG/UX.

I haven't had this problem with SQL*Net 2.0 (yet?)
