I've just installed Oracle V7.1.6.2 on a SUN Solaris 2.4. All of the Pro*C programs that used to work ok on our RS/6000 AIX 3.2 are now abending on the SUN with 'Segmentation fault - core dumped' on the very first SQL statement (CONNECT).
We are using Pro*C V2 and C SPARCcompiler V3.0.1. All the programs compile and link clean. The problem happens on "every" Pro*C program including the Oracle Pro*C demo programs. I am using the Oracle supplied proc.mk file and doing nothing fancy.
Neither ORACLE nor SUN tech support has any answers.
Is anybody even using 7.1.6 with Solaris 2.4 ?
Any help would be much appreciated.
