PowerObjects on a Local NT Server

Is there anyone out using the PowerObject 90 day trial on a NT workstation running bouth the Database (7.1.3) and the PowerObject designer ?
I'm trying to use this combination but PowerObjects simply refuses to use the connect string I'm using for the Developer/2000 tools.
