I didn't realize that Oracle supported Linux, but if it does, and ships
with
the OCI libraries needed to link in a C program, you should be able to do
it,
and run it all on one box.
If your interested, I have some macros that I used to make OCI life easier.
Its been a while since they were used (V5.1 on IBM VM/CMS), but if you want
to try, drop my a note.
