Oracle Graphics 2.0 chooses a default color/pattern scheme based on the configuration of your system. On a color system, you get only color rotation; on a monochrome system, you get only pattern rotation. You can override this default with some PL/SQL programming.
Developer/2000 (with Graphics 2.5) allows you to specify color, pattern, or both, regardless of your system's capabilities.
