Has anyone gotten the wow gateway (distributed by Oracle from http://www.oracle.com)to work?

I am using NCSA HTTPD 1.4 but the instructions say to use 1.3. I don't think that this should be a problem except that I am getting errors with this message:

"501 Not Implemented

We are sorry to be unable to perform the method POST to non-script at this time."

Also, there is a critical executable called 'pls' that is supposed to be in the cgi-bin directory, but the server would not let me access that directory. It shows the directory when I ask for the index from my viewer, but I can't access it. It's as though I didn't have enough access privileges. I tried changing settings in the conf file to allow this but no luck. As a result, all programs attempting to use this executable were doomed to fail, since they could not find 'pls'. In an attempt to trick the server, I moved 'pls' to another directory (and then changed the html to point to this directory) but in turn received the above error message (from the http server, not oracle).

I suppose that I am doing something wrong on my part, since the server should have access to the cgi-bin directory in one way or another, but I cannot figure out what is wrong. I even tried making a fake cgi-bin directory as a sub of htdocs, but this was also fruitless and showed the same symptoms as the original cgi-bin directory.

There must be someone out there who actually put this thing together, so please... HELP ME!

Thanks to all who reply

Mike
