MTS forces many users to share one server process. It's best on memory-poor systems and where overall system utilization isn't high.

So, performance probably won't be better. Memory utilization will be, though.

Why not use SQL*Net to connect directly to the database? It's worth testing both. In my testing, I supported 10% less users using MTS. E-mail me for more details.
