Excellent idea to structure this group, in the long term. Commercial aspects are quite different to technical debate.
There is something we could start immediately that would still be useful in any new group(s) arising from this group. We could start using structured headings. If you think about it the readers of this group must include some real experts in structuring data. Why dont we apply the same approach to our meassage titles that most of us use when designing an Oracle database?
Could we at least make the first word(S) of the subject one of an agreed set? eg VACANCY: JOB WANTED: FOR SALE: TECH/LANGUAGE: TECH/MACHINE etc This would speed up the selection/rejection process by enablimg deletion at the heading level.
We could start right now.
After a while we could see what headings could be covered by each group.
If everyone puts a sensible word (in upper case) at the start of their message then it can evolve without waiting for a major decision such as starting a new group. Forming a new group would probably only reduce the volume I have read by a factor of two. Structured headings would still be a great help.
Any data structure people out there who can help?
