I work for a large financial corp. and we are in the process of rehosting a batch-porcessing intensive mainframe application to a UNIX system with ORACLE as the database. We woul like to use an event-driven approach and object-oriented language (C++ the most likely choice) to implement this. I would appreciate any input regarding methodology, tools, experiences that anybody may have in a similar venture. i am partcularly interested in how one can map a batch system into an event-driven system - are there any articles, etc.
Please reply via e-mail and also call me at 804-967-1493.
Thanks for the help.
Vidya.
