Hi,
When I attempt to do this from my Windows client to Oracle 7 for Netware (7.0.15) then SQL*Plus dies and ORA7WIN.DLL gets a GPF.
If I attempt to compile it on the Oracle 7 database (7.1.4) on a HP then I get an Oracle error but at least SQL*Plus does not die on me.
If I run SQL*Plus locally on the HP then the package compiles successfully. That rules out any problems with the package itself. In fact the package was fine until I added some further procedures which took it over the 32K mark.
I suspect that the difficulty arises when sending it across the network. I am using SQL*Net version 1 and have tried with SQLSPX and SQLTCP.
Anyone else come across this problem?
Many thanks,
Enrico
