Our Atlantic Canada Facility is expanding in both its defence and non-defence market exposure requiring that we increase our highly skilled, professional staff. In a new building enjoying a view of Halifax Harbour, PRIOR is located in the trendy Spring Garden Road business/shopping district within walking distance of the residential south end of the city and on commuter routes from the metro suburbs.

As part of a Tactical Command, Control and Communications System (TCCS) upgrade to state-of-the-art communications, frequency management, and cryptographic technologies, PRIOR is developing software to plan, maintain, and present the status of the deployment of communications assets during military operations. The software will help commanders and staff to anticipate problems, and to quickly restore and reallocate communications assets during fluid battle situations. It will also provide the ability to conduct communications planning for future operations.

A team of 20 software engineers will design, code, test, and integrate the software at PRIOR’s Atlantic Canada facility in Halifax. We are seeking first-class, highly motivated individuals to join our development and test teams. Individuals who possess the following qualifications and are excited about joining a dynamic company that is in the forefront of developing performance-critical systems worldwide are invited to apply.

SOFTWARE ENGINEERS (ADA) Ada Software Engineers are required to join our development team. Hands-on experience with Verdix Ada and the Rational environment is desired. Knowledge of Object Oriented Design and Buhr methodologies, the Objectmaker CASE tools set, DOD-STD-2167A, relational databases, and the SCO Unix environment would be definite assets.

SOFTWARE TEST ENGINEERS Software Test Engineers are required to join our integration and test team. Individuals with a broad range of experience as software or test engineers are required. Exposure to DOD-STD-2167A, Rational, Verdix Ada, Oracle, the ObjectMaker CASE tool set, and the SCO Unix environment would be definite assets.

SOFTWARE ENGINEERS (ORACLE) Oracle Software Engineers are required to join our development team. Knowledge of relational database methods and experience with Oracle products, particularly PL/SQL, Forms VI, and Reports, are desired. Knowledge of DOD-STD- 2167A, the ObjectMaker CASE tool set, and the SCO Unix environment would be assets.
