SQLLOAD and TIME value into DATE/TIME column?

Hi Oracles,
Well, the documentation is clear on inserting date data into date columns
via sqlload, but there is no mention of time (that I can find). I tried the
logical ( to my mind anyway :-) mask of "MM/DD/YYYY HH:MI" and a length of
16. This ran without any errors, but it seems to have only inserted the
date portion.
Since the time mask is not documented in the Utilities Users Guide, I
assume that Oracle overlooked it for sqlload. I'll probably start writing a
program to insert my date/time data but thought I'd make a post here to see
if anybody else had experienced this?
