If you are planning to install the latest CDE tools (Production 3), I strongly recommend RDBMS 7.1.4 or else you will be forced to install CDE in client-only mode. CDE P3 requires RDBMS 7.1.4. We are running 7.1.4 on Solaris 2.4 with no problems. I hear 7.1.6 and 7.2 will start shipping by end of May. Please call Oracle to verify this.
