I'm afraid I'm not going to be much help, but I do know what causes that message. That "please acknowledge message" comes when Forms has more than one message to display on the status line.

For example, if a trigger has a "Message" statement, and the trigger raises an exception, it will display whatever message comes first, then the "Acknowledge message" will show on the status line, and then the next message will display. Received on Mon Apr 17 1995 - 00:00:00 CEST
