This is the first message being distributed to you all using the now operationnal Oracle Applications mailing list. This list, I hope, will, over
time, become an important source of information for all members of the internet community on topics related to the implementation and operation of Oracle's Application suite (Financials, Manufacturing, Human Ressources, Project Accounting).

The list was created to offer a forum which is different from the typical Oracle oriented forums which tend to be much too technical in nature for most people involved with Oracle Applications. In this regard, the questions and answers that are to flow through this list should have a more functional and management flavour due to the specific audience that is being gathered.

How to use the list:

• To send a message to all the members of the list, address your mail to:

                              OraApps-L_at_cpa.qc.ca

        - To send me a message concerning the operation of the list or when you
          have a problem to report, send the message to:

                              owner-OraApps-L_at_cpa.qc.ca

        - To register as a member of the list:

                              owner-OraApps-L_at_cpa.qc.ca

At the moment, the list is being managed manually by myself during off work hours, so please be patient for a response when you send me a message. I have obtained the software necessary for the automation of the management of the list and will start working on installing this shortly. In the meantime, please be aware that there will be no archiving or digests available.

As it now stands, the list has around 100 members from around the world. Once I have seen the list work without problems for a couple of days with this limited membership, I will then post announcements to both the comp.databases.oracle newgroup and the oracle-L mailing list to gain wider membership.
