The company I work for, Cognos Inc., has a couple of tools which would meet your needs. You did not mention the platform or the configuration you are running on, however, if you are running as a terminal based session Cognos provides a tool called InQuizitive a menu dirven report writer. If you are looking for a Windows based Client/Server reporting tool, then see if you can obtain Impromptu for evaluation. This is rated one of the best of breed ad-hoc and production reporting tools on the market. If interested contact 1-800-267-2777
