I have used SQL*Net without any problem with the MS-TCP32 software, and also with PC/NFSv5.0, which is winsock compliant. No problems with either.

You may have to do some fudging after the installation, however, depending on your version of SQL*Net. The version I have assumed that I had the real-mode (DOS) tcpip driver when I said 'Microsoft TCP/IP', so I had to change the TCP_VENDOR entry in the oracle.ini file to read 'winsock'. I also had to find a file called 'mwinsock.dll' or something like that and put it somewhere in the search path. After that it was fine.

The installation on the NFS PC went in easily.
