This completely diverges with the feedback I've been getting on Forms 4.5 runtime. In general, all of the customers I've talked to concur with you that our Designer is much more stable than 4.0, but they differ with you in that they also have told me that the runtime is more stable, too! Which it should be since our testing is even more automated than before and includes lots more *real* customers apps than we had in 4.0.

Forms 4.5.6 due out soon fixes some problem running form with very large program units, which might be what you are hitting if you are consistently getting GPF's in the PL/SQL DLL named 'PLR1171W.DLL'. You might contact your local support to contact headquarters for an interim patch for this problem.
