Yes, I use telnet. It's the application that uses custom rpc service, which has been already ported to NT by the apps. software vendor. This client software does not have any provision for administrative functions, which IMHO very logical.

In short, I wish to know if it will be more inconvenient (if my project manager decides not to invest in buying sqldba and sqlnet software on atleast a few nodes in each location) for System/DB Administration.
