Are you trying to access the same database on both VAXen at the same time? If so, you'll need the Parallel Server option (see your sales rep); this negotiates concurrent access to the database blocks...unnecessary when only one instance is accessing a database.

If you're simply trying to run the same Oracle image on two different VAXen with two different databases at the same time, you shouldn't have a problem. Note that the SGAPAD required will be the larger of the two instances.
