You may be interested to know that the automatic install(I've been using AIX and Oracle 7.1.4) of sqlplus help does not work outside of the Oracle installer.

You have to edit the sql loader ctrl files to get helpins to run from the command line.

You also need to create the help table and index manually. The files are in the directory $ORACLE_HOME/sqlplus/help? I think.
